Centre County Museum Show

The Centre County Museum featuring paintings from members of the Pastel Society will be available to the public from June 23, 2006August 27, 2006. 

 

We will hang the show on June 22nd.  Please bring paintings to the museum from 9-10 a.m. that day.  No reception is being planned for this show.  Paintings will be taken down August 28th from 9-10:00 a.m. Please make arrangements for someone to pick up your paintings if you will be unable to do so.

 

Garden Party Social

On June 25th, A Garden Party, a social gathering, will take place in Susan Nicholas Gephardt’s gardens, 351 E. Bishop Street, Bellefonte.  Society members are invited to paint, photograph, socialize, or just relax in Susan’s terraced backyard garden from 1-3 p.m.  The social will be cancelled if it rains.

Painters in Bellefonte Gardens

Society members will paint in the gardens of Bellefonte during the Bellefonte Garden Club Tour on July 2, 2006 from 1-4 p.m.  Tour members will view artists in action at various garden sites.  Participating pastelists are invited to setup their other finished paintings near their easels to have for sale.  There will be no commission taken.  A donation to the garden club would be appreciated, I’m sure.

 

Pastel Society Potluck Social

On Sunday, July 23 at 5:00 PM, Harry and Wendy Holder will host a Pastel Society Potluck.  Spouses and companions invited.  RSVP 237-3224 or harwenhol@aol.com

Freshly baked, sliced turkey with roll, mayo, mustard, lettuce, plus flatware and dishes will be provided.  Those attending are asked to bring vegetable dishes, salads, dessert, relish selection, or whatever they like to have at a picnic.  If it rains, we’ll move indoors.

Regular Meeting

The regular meeting will be August 6th at 1:30 PM at the Senior Center.  Alice Kelsey is on the program for this meeting.

International Plein Aire Paint Out

The Society will be registered to participate in the World Wide Plein Aire Paint Out.   (Location still to be decided)
