The Central Pennsylvania Pastel Society is pleased to present Maggie Price, acclaimed artist and co-founder of The Pastel Journal, for a five-day workshop.  Currently this is the only workshop Maggie will be conducting in the Mid-Atlantic region for 2007.

Maggie Price is a Signature Member of the Pastel Society of New Mexico, Plein Air New Mexico, APOW, and a Juried Associate Member of the Pastel Society of America. She was a co-founder and the former editor of The Pastel Journal, a national magazine for pastel artists with over 40,000 current readers, and has written over 70 articles about pastel art and artists. She serves on the editorial advisory boards of The Pastel Journal and The Artist's Magazine, and the Board of Directors of the International Association of Pastel Societies. Her book on painting with pastels will be published in May, 2007 by North Light Books. She teaches workshops around the US and abroad, and is a frequent juror for pastel exhibitions.

Maggie emphasizes personal instruction in a supportive and friendly atmosphere during her workshops. Daily demonstrations and personal assistance at each artist's easel gives her an opportunity to share information gained from years of experience painting in pastel, as well as that gathered through writing about art and artists. Her husband, artist Bill Canright, a talented pastel artist himself, gives occasional demonstrations on specific techniques or subjects, and assists artists as needed and generally helps make the workshops run smoothly.

All skill levels from beginner to advanced are welcome. A materials list will be mailed to you upon receipt of your registration for you to review.
