Thomas C. Nicholas, Jr.
Thomas C. Nicholas, Jr., was born in Toledo Ohio in 1927. In the mid 80's, after Tom's retirement from forty-three years at Philadelphia Electric Company, he began to paint and exhibit with his daughter, Susan Nicholas Gephart. They have inspired each other as creative spirits for a lifetime. Tom attributes his success to his background as a draftsman, years of self study, and valuable advice in pastel painting and composition given by his daughter. In honor of her father, Susan kept his name in hopes of someday encouraging his artistic talent. They have exhibited together with the Bellefonte Historical and Cultural Association, The Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art, and will show at Montgomery County Community College, in "A Father's and Daughter's Landscape Passages.", June 21 to August 3, 2008.
